New mom Christina Applegate welcomed her first child only three weeks ago, and she’s already talking about her birth experience with Ellen DeGeneres!
Christina tells Ellen that she was in labor for about 18 hours, and says her epidural was turned off during the birthing process, so she felt “profound pain.”
Christina says of the moment her daughter entered the world: “Just that moment, pulling her out and I dropped my gown which I don’t do. This part of my body is very private to me [her chest] … that’s a real private place. A place that I don’t have a good relationship with, let’s say. But at that moment of pulling her out and I just tore that thing [gown] off. There’s a room full of people that I don’t know. Nurses and doctors. And she and I just laid there. It was the best thing that’s every happened to me.”
“That’s a beautiful moment,” Ellen responds.
Christina and her fiancé, musician Martyn LeNoble, welcomed daughter Sadie Grace LeNoble on January 27 in Los Angeles. Christina’s interview on “Ellen” will air Tuesday, February 22.
